Team Trump Provides Update After Adviser Collapses On Stage

A member of the president-elect’s team provided an update following his collapse on stage during an event earlier this week.

Alex Bruesewitz, 27, fainted while introducing adviser Dan Scavino at the New York Young Republican Club.

“Oh no, what do I do? I’m forgetting my words,” he said in a video posted to X, moments before pausing and collapsing at the podium.

The video is available here.

In a later post on X, Bruesewitz shared that he was recovering and expressed gratitude to everyone involved in his care.

“We are back. What a surreal experience. Maybe I took my Joe Biden impression just a little too far. All kidding aside, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the exceptional medical team at New York Presbyterian Hospital. The EMTs, nurses, and doctors provided me with outstanding care. Secondly, I am incredibly thankful to all the great patriots at the @NYYRC gala who swiftly came to my aid,” he wrote.

He continued, “A special thanks to Rep. @AndyOgles for staying by my side until the medics took me to the ER. Lastly, thank you to everyone who prayed for me and sent heartfelt, thoughtful, encouraging messages. I feel truly blessed to be supported by such wonderful people.

“P.S. @danscavino, my bad for ruining your introduction. I assure you, the rest of my speech was going to be great!”

Raheem Kassam, the event’s master of ceremonies and a former aide to British conservative politician Nigel Farage, offered an update shortly after the incident, reassuring the audience that Bruesewitz was doing well.

“I talked to our friend Alex Bruesewitz, and you know what he said to me? He goes, ‘Did I at least look cool?’ I said, ‘Alex, you used gravity like I’ve seen nobody use gravity before in their lives,’” Kassam joked to the crowd.

He added, “But he’s recuperating back there, so give him a big cheer, so he’ll hear you.”

Despite these reassurances, many expressed concern for the young Trump adviser.

“I’m here at the event. I’m praying my friend, young @alexbruesewitz, who’s just a few days younger than my own son, will make a full recovery. Please join me in praying for Alex,” Jeff Clark posted on X.

“Please pray for my friend Alex Bruesewitz as he has just passed out on stage!” Alex Stone wrote on X.

The president-elect also called into the event after hearing about the incident.

“I know that Alex is going to be fine because he’s a tough son of a gun,” Trump said. “There’s no doubt about that. So I want to say hello to Alex because he’s a very special guy.”

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Trump announced a significant $100 billion investment in the United States by SoftBank.

Speaking from Mar-a-Lago, the 47th president appeared alongside SoftBank Group CEO Masayoshi Son to announce the company’s plan to invest the funds over the next four years, which will create tens of thousands of new jobs.

Masayoshi Son expressed confidence in the U.S. economy, saying his “confidence level” had “tremendously increased with [Trump’s] victory.” He continued, “Because of that – I am committing $100 billion and 100,000 jobs into the United States. This is double of last time… because President Trump is a double-down president.”

Trump highlighted the investment as evidence of “monumental confidence in America’s future,” even humorously urging Son to consider investing $200 billion. Son chuckled and replied that he would try.
