Thank to TX Rep, Judge Overruling Trump Set to Get Disgraceful Status Less Than 1 Percent of Federal Judges Have Ever Had

Rep. Brandon Gill, a Republican from Texas, has introduced articles of impeachment against U.S. District Judge James Boasberg after the judge attempted to block the Trump administration’s deportation of Tren de Aragua gang members over the weekend.
President Donald Trump, who recently reached an agreement with El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele to house certain violent illegal aliens in the country’s high-security CECOT prison, deported several hundred members of the Tren de Aragua gang to the facility on Saturday.
However, Boasberg attempted to intervene, even going as far as issuing a verbal directive for the administration to turn the deportation plane around while it was mid-flight.
As a result, Gill submitted articles of impeachment to the House, charging Boasberg with “high crimes and misdemeanors.” The resolution asserts that the judge acted for “political gain” and obstructed Trump’s “constitutional prerogatives and enforcement of the rule of law.”
The resolution further emphasizes that the president has “broad authority over the executive branch, including authority to protect the nation.” This authority extends to the Alien Enemies Act, under which the Venezuelan gang members were deported.
Gill contends that Boasberg disregarded Supreme Court rulings and “has illegitimately tried to substitute his own judgement for that of the elected President of the United States, thereby usurping the role of the Executive and unilaterally taking upon himself the power and authority of the President.”
According to Gill, this action constitutes a breach of “his oath to the Constitution and duty of impartiality to the people of the United States.”
“By making a political decision outside the scope of his judicial duties, he compromised the impartiality of our judicial system and created a constitutional crisis,” Gill stated.
Even as Democrats claim to uphold the rule of law, the articles of impeachment argue that Boasberg himself was the one violating it.
Rather than allowing the president to fulfill his responsibilities, Boasberg effectively took those responsibilities for himself—mirroring former President Joe Biden in using them to undermine national security and stability.
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller has highlighted the extent of Boasberg’s overreach, noting that his logic implies an unlimited scope of authority.
If Boasberg can override presidential powers in this manner, Miller pointed out, then theoretically, he could also halt the movement of Air Force One or even dictate the positioning of an aircraft carrier.

Historically, only 15 federal judges have been impeached in the United States, with just eight being convicted, according to the U.S. Courts website.
While the likelihood of Boasberg’s removal from office is slim, even a successful impeachment would place him among a small fraction—less than 1 percent—of federal judges to ever face such consequences.
And, according to critics, it would be a distinction well-earned.
Boasberg’s actions, though framed within official procedures, amount to lawlessness.
His conduct serves as a stark reminder that, regardless of how strong the government appears, the nation’s survival is at risk if unelected judges can single-handedly override essential measures meant to protect American citizens and halt ongoing threats.
Ensuring accountability is imperative—because, as some argue, there is no alternative.
