’The View’ Gets Devastating News

Charlamagne Tha God engaged in a spirited debate with the hosts of ABC’s “The View” regarding the presidential election.

Sunny Hostin asked the radio personality why he hasn’t publicly endorsed Joe Biden for the 2024 election as he did in 2020.

“Well, since this book is all about having real conversations, let’s get to it. Let’s get real,” Hostin addressed Charlamagne. “You have a massive platform, reaching millions of listeners. You and I have talked about this before. You endorsed Joe Biden back in 2020, but this time around, you said you’re not going to endorse anybody. Charlamagne, now is not the time, in my opinion, to sit this one out.”

Charlamagne responded, “I didn’t say that,” clarifying his position and adding, “I’m definitely voting in November but what I like to focus on is issues, not individuals.”

Hostin pressed Charlamagne further on why he wouldn’t endorse Biden.

Charlamagne replied, “Because if I’m sitting here telling my listeners that you have somebody out there who’s a threat to democracy, you have somebody out there who said they want to suspend the constitution or overthrow the results of the election — you saw this person try to lead an attempted coup of this country — and I’m telling people that this guy is a threat to democracy. There’s only two candidates out there. So, if I’m saying that about this individual, the choice is clear, right?”

Charlamagne then addressed the co-hosts, saying, “I’ve seen you do this on The View before. I saw y’all do this to Killer Mike when he was on The View. And Killer Mike literally sat here and said, ‘hey, I supported Keisha Lance Bottoms, I supported Raphael Warnock, Jon Ossoff in Georgia.’ He said you should support the person who the people I support are supporting. That’s y’all’s opportunity to say, ‘clearly, he’s talking about Biden.’ Why do y’all need us to say this if we don’t feel comfortable saying it?”

Whoopi Goldberg clarified the situation and told Charlamagne that sometimes “other folks need to hear” the endorsement.

“One of the things that we’ve been talking about is the fact that getting facts out through the media seems to be very difficult,” Goldberg added.

Charlamagne said, “I feel like I just spewed some facts,” with Goldberg noting, “We need you to do it on your show.”

Charlamagne added, “I think both candidates are trash, but I am going to vote in November and I’m going to vote in my best interest and who can preserve democracy. Would you rather I endorse an individual or endorse the fact that we need to go out here and protect democracy?”

Later, when Charlamagne declared he was going to use his right to vote, Goldberg said she would no longer question him about who he was voting for.

“Not only am I saying I’m gonna vote, I’m telling you who the threat to democracy is,” Charlamagne said. “His name is Donald Trump if you want me to spell that one out.”

A recent survey sponsored by a left-leaning organization has brought more troubling news for Biden following a disastrous debate.

Citing the data, the New York Post noted that former President Donald Trump is now leading Biden in all of the most competitive states, just weeks away from the Democratic nominating convention.

The Post reported: “Biden is behind Trump by roughly 4 percentage points in the six key states: Pennsylvania (43% to 48%), Georgia (42% to 47%), Michigan (44% to 45%), Arizona (42% to 46%), Wisconsin (44% to 47%), and Nevada (41% to 47%), according to the poll by Emerson College and sponsored by Democrats for the Next Generation.”

North Carolina, often considered a battleground state, was not included in the survey, The Post reported.

According to a Puck News report last week, Biden is losing even more ground to Trump in battleground states, and traditionally blue states that have voted Democrat for decades are also in play.

The nonprofit OpenLabs “conducts polling and message-testing for a constellation of Democratic groups, including the 501(c)4 nonprofit associated with Future Forward, the preferred Super PAC for Biden’s reelection campaign,” veteran political journalist and former CNN correspondent Peter Hamby wrote. OpenLabs is a Democrat/left polling firm.

Hamby wrote that the data found that 40 percent of voters who supported Biden in 2020 now think he should leave the race. An OpenLabs poll in May had that number at only 25 percent.

“This is, of course, only a single poll, conducted during the initial aftershocks of the debate. It will take a few weeks to determine if Biden’s slippage in the polls is a trend and not a blip,” he wrote. “But given their reputation inside the party and connections to Future Forward, OpenLabs is a firm that Democratic campaigns take seriously.”

“In the tipping-point state of Pennsylvania, Biden now trails by 7 points, compared to 5 points before the debate,” Hamby wrote. “He has also dropped in Michigan, where he now trails Trump by 7. OpenLabs also found that he is now losing by roughly 10 points in Georgia and Arizona, and by almost 9 points in Nevada.”

As bad as that is for Biden, it gets worse.

“Biden is now only winning by a fraction of a point in Virginia, Maine, Minnesota, and New Mexico — and he’s now only winning Colorado by around 2 points,” Hamby wrote.

Following his disastrous debate with Trump, some Democrats have been urging Biden to drop out of the race, but the president has remained defiant.

Biden wrote in the letter that he “declined” to step aside and argues it is time for the party drama “to end.”
