“This Is Not Going To End Well” - Biden Diagnosis is Brutal
MSNBC host Joe Scarborough added his voice to a growing number of prominent Democrats on Thursday, urging President Joe Biden to step down in light of former President Donald Trump’s rising poll numbers in key battleground states, especially following an assassination attempt during a rally in Butler, Pa.
Scarborough, alongside his “Morning Joe” co-host and wife Mika Brzezinski, has been defending Biden against calls to withdraw from the race in recent weeks. Responding to network correspondent Mike Barnicle’s statement, Scarborough said: “You don’t want to see him [Biden] pushed out. You don’t want to see him hurt or humiliated. You want to see him thrive, to be a success, whether he walks away from the nomination or sticks it out for the nomination. You want to see him succeed.”
“Well, we do. We have known him for a long time, Mika and her family [are] extraordinarily close to the Bidens — have always felt the connection,” Scarborough affirmed before listing several achievements he believes Biden has made during his presidency.
However, he also had to concede certain realities about Biden’s mental health.
“And so, yeah, Joe Biden has been, at least by our account, Joe Biden’s been an extremely successful president. I will say, though, when you’re told by members of Congress that they’re losing, they’re going to lose the House and the Senate if he stays on the ticket. When you’re told by members of Congress who have seen the polls that you’re losing swing states and that your numbers are going down in swing states, in states like Virginia, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Minnesota are now in play,” Scarborough noted.
“And when your top fundraiser over the past five, six, seven, eight years is telling you the money’s gone, the donors have all gone away. You know, it’s really incumbent on people that are around Joe Biden to step up at this point and help the president, and help the man they love and do the right thing,” he continued.
“This is not going to end well if it continues to drag out. Look at the events of yesterday. The events of the last three weeks. And at some point, you know, I can tell you, Mike, the anger that I hear is not at Joe Biden. The anger I hear is at the people that are keeping him in a bubble or who may have their own interests, some financial, in keeping him in the race,” the host elaborated.

“That is the real anger. And let me tell you, that’s not just the anger from inside Congress. That is anger from inside the political, his own political camp. And it is widespread. It is widespread. Joe Biden deserves better. He deserves better than he is getting from those closest to him,” Scarborough added.
CNN, known for its critical stance on Donald Trump during his presidency, is also becoming increasingly vocal about Biden’s chances against his 2020 rival.
During a segment on Wednesday, correspondent John King and longtime host Wolf Blitzer discussed the current polling numbers for both candidates, suggesting that Trump could potentially win up to 330 electoral votes, which would signify a decisive rejection of Biden and his administration.
“Well, the latest polls show Trump is slightly ahead of Biden in all these key battleground states,” Blitzer stated as he introduced King for his analysis.
“The state of the race on night two of the Republican convention is Donald Trump is leading in this race. Significantly, if you look deep into the polling, he has a chance to build on it,” King remarked, referencing network polling that indicated Trump was on track to secure a substantial 330 electoral votes.
