Tickets Will Cost a Fortune - Tim Walz's Worst Nightmare Comes True Thanks to WWE Wrestler-Turned GOP Mayor

Minnesota’s Democratic Governor Tim Walz might have found himself in a situation more intense than he anticipated.
During his Tuesday appearance on California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom’s podcast, “This is Gavin Newsom,” Walz made a bold comment about conservatives, particularly calling out Fox News. “I think I could kick most of their a**. I do think that,” he said. That statement quickly sparked a response—one that Walz probably didn’t see coming.
Glenn Jacobs, who many know from his WWE days as the towering figure “Kane,” and who now serves as the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, responded with a challenge.
On Thursday, Jacobs took to the social media platform X to propose a wrestling match for charity.
All joking aside, @GovTimWalz, let's put our money where our mouth is...in a charity wrestling match. We'll split the gate 50/50 between our chosen organizations. I'll kick things off myself with a $10,000 donation. What do you say? #TennesseeWalz#LetsDance pic.twitter.com/2VV6j4RYs2

In his post, Jacobs, 57, directly addressed Walz, 60, saying, “let’s put our money where our mouth is…in a charity wrestling match. We’ll split the gate 50/50 between our chosen organizations.”
To raise the stakes, Jacobs offered to make the first contribution himself. “I’ll kick things off myself with a $10,000 donation. What do you say?” he added.
The situation didn’t seem promising for Walz. With Jacobs standing 6′-7″ and weighing well over 300 pounds, compared to Walz’s 5′-11″ and approximately 170 pounds, the odds were clearly not in the governor’s favor. And as if that wasn’t enough, things soon escalated.
A growing number of prominent conservative figures began offering their own donations in response to Jacobs’ challenge.
Jack Posobiec, a conservative journalist and commentator, pledged an additional $10,000.

Clay Travis, radio host and founder of the sports website Outkick, also matched the $10,000 contribution.
I’ll put up $10k on this too. https://t.co/gHtXugmNTX

Now, Walz faces a tricky decision. Despite being a seasoned public figure—and even a former vice-presidential candidate—he has a history of making controversial remarks that sometimes land him in awkward situations.
As part of former Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign, Walz repeatedly found himself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, managing to spark new headlines in the weeks leading up to Nov. 5.
So how does someone with so much political experience keep stepping into controversy?
Did Walz believe his comment would simply be overlooked, or did he expect widespread agreement when it inevitably became public?
Now, Jacobs has placed Walz in an uncomfortable and highly amusing dilemma. If Walz turns down the match, it could make him appear weak—a perception he probably doesn’t want to reinforce. And with the added charity angle, declining the challenge might send an even worse message.
What’s the holdup, Governor? Are you not interested in supporting charitable causes? After all, this seems like a win-win: raise money for charity and prove you can outmatch a Republican in a show of strength.
We’ll all be watching and waiting for Walz’s response.
