Top Fox News Host Replacement Announced – Viewers Stunned

Fox News has wasted no time in naming a replacement for Neil Cavuto, the longtime network figure who announced his departure in December after 28 years with the company.
Since joining Fox News during its inception in 1996, Cavuto, now 66, has been one of the few remaining original contributors. He transitioned from a successful tenure in business reporting at CNBC to join Roger Ailes in reshaping American mainstream media. The move proved to be a major success, with Cavuto quickly becoming a staple of Fox News' on-air team while also holding prominent roles such as Vice President of the news division. Now, Fox has revealed that 49-year-old Will Cain will take over Cavuto’s 4 p.m. time slot.
“The Will Cain Show” is set to replace Cavuto’s program as part of several changes to the weekend lineup. According to a Fox statement provided to The Hill, Cain’s show will deliver “a comprehensive look at the news of the day in a signature podcast style.” Cain, who currently serves as a co-host on Fox & Friends Weekend, will hand over his weekend seat to commentator Charlie Hurt. Additionally, both Fox Report and The Big Weekend Show will expand into two-hour segments on Saturdays and Sundays, filling the gap left by Cavuto’s departure.
In his own statement, Cain, who previously worked as a broadcaster for ESPN, expressed gratitude for the opportunity. “It has been an honor to wake up with America these past four years, and I am thrilled to apply my background in news, law, entertainment, and business to help our viewers better understand the headlines through thought-provoking content and analysis every weekday afternoon,” Cain said.
For years, Cavuto’s tenure on Your World established him as a trusted source for breaking news in conservative circles. Although Fox reportedly offered him a contract renewal, sources familiar with the discussions noted that Cavuto felt it was the right time to move on. Inside reports describe Cavuto as a well-respected figure within the Fox News studios, with no tension between him and the network’s leadership.
In a statement marking his departure, Fox praised Cavuto’s exceptional career. “Neil Cavuto’s illustrious career has been a master class in journalism, and we’re extremely proud of his incredible 28-year run with FOX News Media,” the statement read. “His programs have defined business news and set the standard for the entire industry. We wish him a heartfelt farewell and all the best on his next chapter.”
