Trump Admin Exposes Bill, Hillary Clinton’s ‘Extreme Grifting’ Via USAID

A member of former President Donald Trump’s administration engaged in a heated online exchange with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk’s efforts to uncover wasteful spending linked to USAID.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy fired back at Clinton after she criticized his department’s decision to have DOGE personnel, under Musk’s leadership, assist in upgrading aviation systems. This decision followed two fatal plane crashes that occurred during Duffy’s relatively brief tenure.

Clinton alleged that the department had "deteriorated" under Duffy’s watch, while sidestepping the numerous transportation-related accidents that took place during Pete Buttigieg’s four years as Transportation Secretary.

She further claimed that DOGE personnel lacked the "relevant experience" needed for an aviation system overhaul.

“Most of them aren’t old enough to rent a car. And you’re going to let them mess with airline safety that’s already deteriorated on your watch?” she questioned in a Wednesday post on X.

Duffy countered by arguing that it was actually "experienced Washington bureaucrats" who were responsible for many of the federal government’s inefficiencies, which is why "the nation’s infrastructure is crumbling."

“You need to sit this one out,” he remarked, before revealing that Musk’s team had also uncovered “extreme grifting” by Bill and Hillary Clinton through USAID.

“I know you’re lashing out because DOGE is uncovering your family’s obscene grifting via USAID, but I won’t let you lie and distort facts,” Duffy, a former Fox News host, stated in a Thursday post. “I’m returning this department to its mission of safety by using innovative technology in transportation and infrastructure.

“Your team had its chance and failed. We’re moving on without you because the American people want us to make America’s transportation system great again. And yes, we’re bringing the 22-year-olds with us,” Duffy added.

Beyond aviation concerns, transportation mishaps have included major rail incidents, such as a hazardous chemical spill in a small Ohio town under the Biden-Harris administration. Boeing-manufactured aircraft have also faced serious safety issues, including a cabin door detachment mid-flight and recurring problems with the latest version of the company’s 737 model. Additionally, Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft has encountered multiple setbacks, leaving two astronauts stranded on the International Space Station.

During his recent confirmation hearing, Duffy assured the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation that aviation safety would be a priority under his leadership, particularly efforts to restore confidence in Boeing, as reported by The Hill.

“I think we have to … push the FAA [Federal Aviation Administration] to make sure they are implementing their safety plan,” Duffy told the panel. He committed to working with the FAA and Congress to “restore global confidence in Boeing and to ensure our skies are safe … In one of my meetings, someone said they need tough love, which is what they do need.”

Duffy, a former five-term Republican congressman from Wisconsin, also confirmed his commitment to allowing the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to proceed with its ongoing investigation into Tesla’s advanced driving technology. Tesla is led by Musk.

“Yes, I commit to this committee and to you that I will let NHTSA do their investigation,” Duffy assured lawmakers.

Meanwhile, a senior Biden administration official refuted Pete Buttigieg’s attempt to shift blame onto Trump for the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, which resulted in a severe environmental crisis.

The official, affiliated with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), pushed back against Buttigieg’s claim, which had come in response to Trump’s visit to the affected community, where he provided water and other essential supplies. The NTSB official criticized Buttigieg’s efforts to politicize the tragedy and clarified that the ultimate responsibility for the disaster rested with the rail carrier, Norfolk Southern.
