Trump Admin Exposes Bill, Hillary Clinton’s ‘Extreme Grifting’ Via USAID

A member of former President Donald Trump’s administration engaged in a heated online exchange with ex-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk’s initiatives to identify wasteful expenditures linked to USAID.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy fired back at Clinton’s remarks online after announcing that DOGE personnel under Musk’s leadership would assist in modernizing the department’s aviation systems. This announcement followed two catastrophic plane crashes that occurred during Duffy’s brief tenure.

Clinton alleged that the department had “deteriorated” under Duffy’s leadership—while overlooking the various transportation infrastructure mishaps and disasters that occurred during former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s four years in office.

She further claimed that DOGE staff lacked the “relevant experience” to handle an aviation system overhaul.

“Most of them aren’t old enough to rent a car. And you’re going to let them mess with airline safety that’s already deteriorated on your watch?” she questioned in a Wednesday post on X.

Duffy countered that “experienced Washington bureaucrats” were responsible for the dysfunction within the federal government and the ongoing decline of the “nation’s infrastructure.”

“You need to sit this one out,” he remarked, before revealing that Musk’s team had also uncovered evidence of “extreme grifting” involving both Bill and Hillary Clinton through USAID.

“I know you’re lashing out because DOGE is uncovering your family’s obscene grifting via USAID, but I won’t let you lie and distort facts,” Duffy, a former Fox News host, wrote in a Thursday post. “I’m returning this department to its mission of safety by using innovative technology in transportation and infrastructure.

“Your team had its chance and failed. We’re moving on without you because the American people want us to make America’s transportation system great again. And yes, we’re bringing the 22-year-olds with us,” Duffy added.

Beyond railway incidents—such as the massive chemical spill near a small Ohio town under the Biden-Harris administration—Boeing aircraft have faced multiple in-flight issues and emergencies, including the unexpected loss of a cabin door and various concerns with the latest iteration of its 737 model. Additionally, Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft encountered significant complications during its first crewed mission, leaving two astronauts stranded on the International Space Station.

During his confirmation hearing last month, Duffy told the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation that, if confirmed, he would make aviation safety a top priority, including efforts to restore trust in Boeing, as reported by The Hill.

“I think we have to … push the FAA [Federal Aviation Administration] to make sure they are implementing their safety plan,” Duffy told the panel, adding that he would collaborate with the FAA and Congress to “restore global confidence in Boeing and to ensure our skies are safe … In one of my meetings, someone said they need tough love, which is what they do need.”

Duffy, who previously served five terms as a GOP congressman from Wisconsin, also confirmed that he would allow the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to continue its probe into the safety of Tesla’s advanced driving technology. Tesla is led by Musk.

“Yes, I commit to this committee and you that I will let NHTSA do their investigation,” Duffy affirmed.

A high-ranking Biden administration official pushed back on Buttigieg after he attempted to link the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, last February—which caused a large-scale environmental disaster—to Trump’s policies.

The unofficial fact check from a National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) official came after Buttigieg’s response to Trump’s visit to the affected community, where he distributed water and other essential supplies while expressing solidarity with residents impacted by the hazardous chemical spill.

The official criticized Buttigieg’s efforts to politicize Trump’s visit and shift the blame for the disaster onto him, emphasizing that the primary responsibility for the accident lay with the railway company Norfolk Southern.
