Trump Admin Exposes Bill, Hillary Clinton’s ‘Extreme Grifting’ Via USAID

A member of former President Donald Trump’s administration engaged in an online exchange with ex-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton regarding the work of Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) chief Elon Musk in identifying excessive spending within USAID.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy fired back at Clinton’s online remarks after stating that DOGE personnel, under Musk’s leadership, would be assisting in modernizing the department’s aviation systems in response to two fatal plane crashes occurring early in his tenure.

Clinton alleged that the department had "deteriorated" under Duffy’s leadership, overlooking multiple transportation-related incidents that took place during the four-year term of former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

She also criticized DOGE personnel, asserting they lacked the "relevant experience" to oversee an aviation system overhaul.

“Most of them aren’t old enough to rent a car. And you’re going to let them mess with airline safety that’s already deteriorated on your watch?” she asked in a Wednesday post on X.

Duffy countered by blaming "experienced Washington bureaucrats" for the federal government’s inefficiencies and the "crumbling" state of the nation’s infrastructure.

“You need to sit this one out,” he remarked, before disclosing that Musk’s team had also exposed "extreme grifting" involving both Bill and Hillary Clinton through USAID.

“I know you’re lashing out because DOGE is uncovering your family’s obscene grifting via USAID, but I won’t let you lie and distort facts,” wrote Duffy, a former Fox News host, in a Thursday post. “I’m returning this department to its mission of safety by using innovative technology in transportation and infrastructure.

“Your team had its chance and failed. We’re moving on without you because the American people want us to make America’s transportation system great again. And yes, we’re bringing the 22-year-olds with us,” Duffy added.

Under the Biden-Harris administration, the transportation sector has faced multiple crises, including a significant rail accident that led to a chemical spill near a small Ohio town. Additionally, aircraft produced by Boeing have been involved in numerous in-flight emergencies, such as the sudden detachment of a cabin door and technical issues with the latest 737 model. Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft has also encountered major malfunctions during its inaugural crewed flight, leaving two astronauts stranded on the International Space Station.

During his recent confirmation hearing, Duffy assured the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation that, if confirmed, he would prioritize aviation safety, including efforts to restore public confidence in Boeing, as reported by The Hill.

“I think we have to … push the FAA [Federal Aviation Administration] to make sure they are implementing their safety plan,” Duffy stated before the panel, pledging to collaborate with both the FAA and Congress to “restore global confidence in Boeing and to ensure our skies are safe … In one of my meetings, someone said they need tough love, which is what they do need.”

Duffy, who previously served five terms as a Republican congressman from Wisconsin, also confirmed that he would permit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to continue its inquiry into the safety of Tesla’s autonomous driving technology. Tesla is led by Musk.

“Yes, I commit to this committee and you that I will let NHTSA do their investigation,” Duffy affirmed.

A high-ranking official in the Biden administration recently challenged Buttigieg’s attempt to attribute the East Palestine, Ohio, train derailment—an incident that resulted in an environmental disaster—to Trump’s policies.

Following Trump’s visit to the affected community, where he distributed water and supplies and expressed solidarity with the residents, an official from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) refuted Buttigieg’s claims. The official asserted that responsibility for the derailment lay with the rail company, Norfolk Southern, rather than with Trump’s policies.
