Trump Asked About ‘Specific Positions’ For RFK Jr., Musk, Gabbard

Former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign has been remarkable for several reasons, particularly due to the two attempts on his life. However, politically, it's unique because of his openness to work with individuals from varying political backgrounds.

Trump has succeeded in drawing support from three prominent former Democrats: billionaire Elon Musk, former Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Kennedy decided to run as an Independent after the Democratic Party sidelined his campaign in favor of Vice President Kamala Harris to succeed President Biden.

In an interview on Sunday with Sharyl Attkisson on her show "Full Measure," Attkisson asked Trump if he envisioned any "specific positions" for the trio of ex-Democrats if he were to win the 2024 election.

“Three people, by the way, who were Democrats or, in Musk's case, I’m not sure, but he at least supported Democrats. What roles do you see them filling?” Attkisson inquired.

Trump responded by saying he hadn’t made any formal commitments yet but was particularly complimentary of RFK Jr.'s efforts to improve public health.

“He’s been fighting for this for a long time,” Trump commented. “He studies countries that don’t use chemicals as we do, or use far fewer, and their populations are healthier than in the U.S., which is frankly not that healthy a country.”

Trump also expressed approval of Kennedy’s environmental stances, which traditionally lean left, while offering praise for Gabbard.

“We’ll be energy independent again—actually, we’ll be energy dominant. We’ll generate a lot of revenue, pay down debt, and accomplish things people never thought possible. Bobby’s terrific,” Trump stated.

“Tulsi has always been great when it comes to common sense. She’s a person who embodies it. I’ve watched her for a long time on various shows. I’ve met her briefly, and it was an honor when she came on board. You’re right; she was popular as a Democrat in Hawaii, and she’ll be outstanding,” Trump added.

Attkisson then steered the conversation toward Musk and his potential role in a future administration.

“Well, Elon is Elon,” Trump remarked. “He’s endorsed me strongly. He believes this is the most important election in history. And as you know, he has a few other things on his plate, but – ”

Attkisson jumped in, asking if Musk might help in cutting “government waste.”

“He’s a master at cost-cutting,” Trump responded. “He’s always been good at it, and I’ve had success with it too. But Elon, he’ll come in and say, ‘Here’s what needs to be done.’ He’s passionate about reducing waste and inefficiency, and he’s right.”

Trump continued to praise Musk’s ability to streamline costs and expressed gratitude for Musk’s vocal support.

“Elon is one hundred percent correct, and he’s been fantastic. He’s given me tremendous endorsements, even though we disagree a bit on electric vehicles. But he understands that not every car has to be electric,” Trump said, reaffirming his stance that Americans should have the freedom to choose their vehicles.

Earlier this month, a SuperPAC heavily funded by Musk began running digital ads targeting swing state voters, using direct and forceful messaging.

“If you sit this election out, Kamala and the radicals will take over,” one ad on YouTube warns, viewed by over three million people. The ad also portrays Trump as an “American Badass,” featuring footage of him pumping his fist after the July assassination attempt and urging people to “fight, fight, fight!”
