Trump Border Czar Threatens to Jail FBI Agents Behind ICE Leaks

Border Czar Tom Homan has accused the FBI of leaking details about upcoming immigration raids and has warned that those responsible will face legal consequences.
“We think it’s coming from inside,” Homan stated during an appearance on Fox News with Sean Hannity on Tuesday. He was referring to media leaks about ICE operations in Colorado.
Homan further claimed that the FBI was behind the leak of sensitive information concerning a major immigration raid scheduled to take place in California before the end of the month. He remarked, “Some of the information we are receiving tends towards the FBI.”
Reports indicate that the scale of this planned raid was substantial enough that agents from the FBI and DEA were being deployed to assist ICE personnel.
Homan warned that such leaks put officers in danger, cautioning that “bad guys” could use the leaked information to ambush law enforcement personnel.
When Hannity questioned Homan on the level of certainty regarding the FBI’s involvement, he responded, “I talked to the deputy attorney general this week and they’ve opened up a criminal investigation. He thinks the information is coming from [the FBI].”
He confirmed that criminal investigations are underway to determine the source of these leaks.
“We’ll let that investigation play out,” Homan stated, adding, “But some of the leads point that way.”
Homan warned that those found guilty of leaking classified details would face severe consequences. “Not only will this person lose their job [and] they will lose their pension, they will go to jail, they’re going to criminally prosecute,” he asserted.

Homan has openly expressed his frustration over the exposure of a planned Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation in Aurora, Colorado.
During an interview last week with Fox News host Harris Faulkner, Homan reiterated his anger over the situation and vowed to take action.
“We’ve already identified how this operation got leaked. I’ll deal with that today,” he declared.
He also noted that ICE is collaborating closely with the Department of Justice and that Homeland Security might pursue legal action against those who interfere with agency operations. “This is not a game. This is a dangerous job,” he emphasized. “To have this type of interference puts the officers at great risk.”
The leaks come at a time when some Democrats are also accused of interfering with ICE activities.
Democrat New York Rep. Dan Goldman has drawn attention for his guidance on avoiding ICE enforcement efforts.
“Every New Yorker has rights when they interact with immigration enforcement,” Goldman wrote in a post on X. “No matter what the next four years bring, stay informed, stay safe, and stay together.”
“No matter what the next four years bring, stay informed, stay safe, and stay together,” he reiterated in a video caption.
In the video, Goldman stated, “The Trump administration has carried out deportations, raids all across the country, including here in New York City.” He continued, “These are certainly uncertain times, but no matter what, it’s important that you know your rights when interacting with law enforcement.”
He further advised viewers on “mak[ing] a plan for ICE encounters” and shared resources for pro bono legal assistance in the event of detention.
Goldman’s spokesperson, Madison Andrus, claimed in an interview with the Daily Caller, “President Trump has a well-documented pattern of abusing his power by detaining American citizens and legal residents.” She added, “The Congressman will always provide his constituents with information to protect them from extrajudicial threats and intimidation, and only someone who supports the use of threats and intimidation would take issue with him doing so.”
An ICE spokesperson clarified that while American citizens are not subject to arrest, they may be briefly detained for identification purposes.
“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement may encounter U.S. citizens while conducting fieldwork and may request identification to establish an individual’s identity,” the agency stated in a comment to The Caller.
In December, Homan emphasized legal statutes regarding the protection of illegal immigrants, stating, “There are federal statutes on the books for knowingly concealing and harboring an illegal alien away from ICE officers. There are statutes on the books about impeding federal law enforcement officers – they’re all felonies.”
Republicans have voiced outrage over Democrats providing guidance to illegal immigrants on avoiding ICE.
Republican North Carolina Rep. Mark Harris expressed his frustration in a statement to The Caller, saying, “It’s completely disgraceful that Democrats are going to such extreme lengths to aid illegals — even going as far as using their official accounts to give instructions on evading ICE!”
“This is just the beginning of their extreme tactics to obstruct President Trump’s agenda. Speaking in Chinese or Spanish won’t hide the Left’s message: they care more about criminal aliens than the safety of the American people,” Harris concluded.
