Trump Demands Jack Smith Be Arrested Immediately After Alarming Find

In a surprising revelation from court documents, former President Donald Trump pressured Joe Biden’s Justice Department to take legal action against Special Counsel Jack Smith.

Trump's outrage was sparked when Smith’s attorneys disclosed to U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, overseeing the case involving confidential materials, that some evidence was no longer in its "original, intact" state.

On Truth Social, Trump expressed his fury by posting: “Arrest deranged Jack Smith. He is a criminal,” following the prosecutors' admission that the "order of items within that box is not the same" in digital scans of materials compared to when the FBI retrieved them from Trump’s Florida resort in August 2022. Trump reiterated in all caps, “He is a criminal,” in one of several posts over the weekend.

Smith’s office stated that this assertion was "inconsistent" with previous government statements to the court. Initially, it was claimed that the only alterations involved replacing some classified documents with placeholders and removing others.

The submission addressed Defendant Walt Nauta’s request for additional time to verify the contents and arrangement of the seized documents. It detailed the specific documents, their respective boxes, and their order within those boxes. Legal experts pointed out an issue with Smith’s petition, noting that the current order of the boxes differed from earlier scans.

“Since the boxes were seized and stored, appropriate personnel have had access to the boxes for several reasons, including to comply with orders issued by this Court in the civil proceedings noted above, for investigative purposes, and to facilitate the defendants’ review of the boxes,” Justice Department prosecutors wrote.

The document stated, “There are some boxes where the order of items within that box is not the same as in the associated scans.”

Smith's prosecutors later admitted their mistake to the court.

“The Government acknowledges that this is inconsistent with what Government counsel previously understood and represented to the Court,” the document said.

“There are several possible explanations, including the above-described instances in which the boxes were accessed, as well as the size and shape of certain items in the boxes possibly leading to movement of items,” the filing added.

“For example, the boxes contain items smaller than standard paper such as index cards, books, and stationary, which shift easily when the boxes are carried, especially because many of the boxes are not full,” prosecutors explained.

Despite this, the information is vital to the prosecution’s case against Trump, marking the first time an elected official or past president has been accused of possessing secret records. Legal experts mentioned by the Western Journal noted that Trump’s defense might argue that documents were filed chronologically without considering classification markings.

“Legal experts told Just the News the revelation could prove to be a serious problem for prosecutors and a violation of court rules to preserve evidence in the state it was seized,” reported Just the News.

In another post on Truth Social, Trump declared: “It has always been clear that the ‘Documents Case’ is nothing but an Election Interference Scam concocted by Crooked Joe Biden, Deranged Jack Smith, and their Hacks and Thugs,” Trump wrote. “Now, Deranged Jack has admitted in a filing in front of Judge Cannon to what I have been saying happened since the Illegal RAID on my home, Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida — That he and his team committed blatant Evidence Tampering by mishandling the very Boxes they used as a pretext to bring this Fake Case.

“These deeply Illegal actions by the Politicized ‘Persecutors’ mandate that this whole Witch Hunt be DROPPED IMMEDIATELY. END THE ‘BOXES HOAXES.’ MAGA2024!”
