Trump Gets News So Good, Democrats Are Freaking Out!

A recent survey indicates that a majority of likely U.S. voters support the immigration enforcement raids implemented since President Donald Trump took office.

According to the Rasmussen Reports survey, conducted between January 26 and 28 with 1,229 potential voters, 57% expressed approval of these raids aimed at apprehending and deporting illegal immigrants. Among them, 38% strongly supported the actions, while 39% disapproved, including 24% who strongly opposed them.

The study also examined the Trump administration’s scrutiny of sanctuary cities that offer protection to undocumented immigrants. Results showed that 48% of voters believed officials in those cities should face criminal charges for obstructing federal immigration enforcement. Meanwhile, 38% disagreed, and 14% remained undecided, as reported by Newsmax.

Additional findings highlighted by the outlet include:

  • 86% of those who strongly supported the raids also favored prosecuting sanctuary city officials who interfere with federal enforcement.
  • 81% of Republicans, 36% of Democrats, and 45% of independent voters expressed at least some approval of the raids.
  • 47% of Democrats strongly disapproved, compared to 6% of Republicans and 16% of unaffiliated voters.
  • 71% of Republicans, 28% of Democrats, and 46% of unaffiliated voters supported prosecuting sanctuary city officials who obstruct enforcement efforts.
  • 56% of Democrats, 20% of Republicans, and 36% of independents opposed prosecuting these officials.

Demographic breakdowns also reflected substantial support for the raids and potential federal prosecution of state and local officials protecting undocumented immigrants:

  • 62% of men and 52% of women approved of the raids, with 53% of men and 44% of women in favor of prosecuting uncooperative officials.
  • 58% of white voters, 54% of Black voters, 57% of Hispanic voters, and 50% of other minorities supported the raids. However, more Black voters opposed federal prosecution of sanctuary city officials.

The survey also revealed a stark contrast between Trump supporters and those backing former Vice President Kamala Harris. While 87% of Trump’s supporters favored the raids, 70% of Harris’s supporters opposed them.

The debate surrounding mass deportation efforts, which involve FBI participation, intensified when Trump’s Border Czar, Tom Homan, engaged in a heated exchange with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins earlier this week.

During an interview on “The Source,” Collins pressed Homan about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) targeting illegal immigrants who seek refuge in hospitals, churches, and schools to evade deportation.

“What is the standard, I guess, to go into an elementary school?” Collins questioned. “Because what we had heard from immigration advocates is that this is going to provide a chilling effect to parents in the school drop-off line or something of that matter.”

Homan responded firmly: “It shouldn’t be a chilling effect unless your child is a terrorist or a public safety threat. If they are a public safety threat, a national security threat, they should be chilled. They should be afraid because we’re looking for them.”

Collins countered, expressing concern for undocumented parents.

“They’re not off the table either,” Homan asserted. “I mean, they’re in the country illegally, they have got a problem. I mean, it’s not OK — look, we — it’s not OK to enter this country illegally. It’s a crime. And that’s the way it’s supposed to be. I wouldn’t feel comfortable if I’m in Switzerland illegally. So we’re going to enforce the laws of this country.”

He concluded by emphasizing: “National security threats and public safety threats have no safe haven in this country, and we will go where we got to go.”
