Trump Just Got Critical Campaign News

In Pennsylvania, a key battleground state that could heavily influence the outcome of November's elections, both the Trump and Harris campaigns are carefully monitoring each other. Recent polling results offer positive news for former President Donald Trump.

For months, analysts have predicted that the Keystone State, home to prominent figures like Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) and Governor Josh Shapiro, will play a decisive role in the presidential race. Fetterman, who has garnered attention as a progressive figure by making compromises on certain issues, even predicted that Trump could win Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris has shifted her stance on fracking, a controversial process that creates jobs for many Pennsylvanians.

According to a survey of 800 potential voters, Trump leads Harris by 2%, with 50% of the vote compared to Harris’s 48%. Trump also leads Republican Senate candidate Dave McCormick, though McCormick trails incumbent Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA), garnering just 44% of the vote. Additionally, 1% of voters support an alternative presidential candidate, and another 1% remain undecided. The absence of Robert F. Kennedy from the race may be benefiting Trump, as Kennedy's supporters appear to be rallying around the former president after his endorsement. Last week's post-debate panels suggest that the number of undecided voters is shrinking and may be leaning away from Trump.

The Harris campaign's decision to distance itself from Governor Shapiro could have significant consequences. Some insiders have privately expressed concerns that choosing Shapiro, a Jewish politician, might alienate pro-Palestinian supporters within the Democratic Party. Additionally, a few Harris supporters have made antisemitic remarks, claiming that Shapiro’s selection would give undue influence to Israel in a potential future administration.

Harris has also faced criticism for her shifting stance on fracking. In her 2019 presidential bid, she advocated for a national fracking ban, citing concerns about water contamination. Now, Harris claims to fully support Pennsylvania's natural gas industry, leaving some to question her sincerity, especially when compared to her earlier far-left pledges, like funding gender transformation procedures for immigrants and felons.

Around a month ago, President Trump visited Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where he made a series of personal and policy attacks on Harris. He criticized her recent proposal to impose price caps on groceries, quipping, "Joe Biden hates her." Trump further remarked, “Three and a half years ago was Kamala’s first day. Why then didn’t she act on it? Thus, we are on day 1,305.”
