Trump: ‘Life Spared to Restore America To Greatness’

In his victory speech from Trump Headquarters, President-elect Donald Trump remarked, “God spared my life for a reason,” reflecting on the significance of his triumph over Vice President Kamala Harris. This historic win came after Trump survived two assassination attempts since July, and he voiced deep gratitude for the opportunity of a second term during his 25-minute address from West Palm Beach, Fla.

“This is a magnificent victory for the American people, allowing us to make America great again,” Trump announced, as supporters rallied in celebration. He highlighted key battleground wins in North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, noting that “we are now winning in Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, and Alaska,” potentially securing at least 315 electoral votes. He emphasized the momentum, stating, “There was no other path to victory,” and cheered the popular vote win, saying, “That was great. That was great.”

“Many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason, and that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness,” Trump continued. “And now we are going to fulfill that mission together.”

In a heartfelt moment, he thanked his supporters, saying, “Winning the popular vote was very nice. It’s a great feeling of love... We have a great feeling of love in this very large room, with unbelievable people standing by my side. These people have been incredible,” he noted, vowing to make them “very proud of [their] vote.”

Trump urged supporters to remember this pivotal moment, declaring, “I hope that you’re going to be looking back someday and say, ‘That was one of the truly important moments of my life, when I voted for this group of people… beyond the president.’” He celebrated the “unprecedented and powerful mandate” from voters and the MAGA movement’s reclaiming of the Senate, remarking, “Wow, that’s great.”

He pledged, “The task before us will not be easy, but I will bring every ounce of energy, spirit, and fighting that I have in my soul to the job that you’ve entrusted to me.”

Touching on policy, Trump promised to “fix our borders” and address “everything about our country.” He lauded the night’s historic achievement, saying, “We overcame obstacles that nobody thought possible,” calling it “the most incredible political victory.” He acknowledged, “Nothing like this” had been seen before and expressed profound gratitude to Americans for “the extraordinary honor of being elected your 47th president, and your 45th president.”

Trump closed by reassuring, “Every citizen, I will fight for you, for your family, and your future. Every single day I’ll be fighting for you, and with every breath in my body.” He declared the onset of “the golden age of America” and credited MAGA supporters for Senate victories across states including Montana, Nevada, Texas, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.

Reflecting on the Senate campaign success, Trump said, “The number of victories in the Senate was absolutely incredible. And we did tele rallies.”
