Trump Picks Dan Bongino To Be FBI Deputy Director

President Donald Trump has officially announced that Dan Bongino will assume the role of deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Trump made the announcement via his Truth Social account: “Great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice! Dan Bongino, a man of incredible love and passion for our Country, has just been named the next DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF THE FBI, by the man who will be the best ever Director, Kash Patel. Dan has a Masters Degree in Psychology from C.U.N.Y., and an MBA from Penn State. He was a member of the New York Police Department (New York’s Finest!), a highly respected Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, and is now one of the most successful Podcasters in the Country, something he is willing and prepared to give up in order to serve. Working with our great new United States Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and Director Patel, Fairness, Justice, Law and Order will be brought back to America, and quickly. Congratulations Dan!”
Shortly after, Trump followed up with another post, emphasizing: “Another aspect of the life of Dan Bongino that I think is very important. He has a great wife, Paula, and two wonderful daughters who truly love their dad. What an incredible job Dan will do!!!”
In response, Bongino took to X, simply stating, “Thank you Mr. President, Attorney General Bondi, and Director Patel.”
Last week, Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) took an unusual step by visiting the FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C., just before the Senate confirmed Patel as the bureau’s new director. Schiff, along with several Democratic colleagues, voiced strong opposition to Patel’s appointment, criticizing Trump’s choice.
“This is someone we cannot trust,” Schiff declared. “This is someone who lacks the character to do this job, someone who lacks the integrity to do this job.”
His remarks quickly drew backlash, with figures such as Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk noting on social media that Schiff’s opposition might stem from Patel’s exposure of the ‘Trump-Russia collusion’ hoax and Schiff’s involvement in Trump’s first impeachment.
There’s a very obvious reason why Adam Schiff is panicking outside the FBI building this morning…

Additionally, some pointed out that Schiff had received a pre-emptive pardon from former President Joe Biden, allegedly shielding him from potential legal consequences.
Following Patel’s confirmation, he posted a statement on X expressing gratitude and outlining his vision for the FBI.
“I am honored to be confirmed as the ninth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Thank you to President Trump and Attorney General Bondi for your unwavering confidence and support,” Patel stated.
He continued, “The FBI has a storied legacy—from the ‘G-Men’ to safeguarding our nation in the wake of 9/11. The American people deserve an FBI that is transparent, accountable, and committed to justice.”
Patel also acknowledged concerns about political influence within the agency, stating, “The politicization of our justice system has eroded public trust—but that ends today. My mission as Director is clear: let good cops be cops—and rebuild trust in the FBI. Working alongside the dedicated men and women of the Bureau and our partners, we will rebuild an FBI the American people can be proud of.”
In closing, Patel issued a strong warning: “And to those who seek to harm Americans—consider this your warning. We will hunt you down in every corner of this planet. Mission First. America Always. Let’s get to work.”
