Trump Steps Up for Electrical Linemen as Hurricane Hits — This is REAL LEADER

Former President Donald Trump offered complimentary lodging to hundreds of power and light company linemen who gathered in Florida ahead of Hurricane Milton this week.

On Wednesday, Eric Trump, son of the former president, shared a brief 24-second video on X (formerly Twitter), welcoming 275 linemen from Florida Power & Light Company to the Trump National Doral Miami golf resort.

These workers will stay free of charge as they gear up to tackle the extensive power outages expected after the storm’s impact.

"Honored to have 275 incredible linemen from FPL at @TrumpDoral as they get ready to respond to the aftermath of Hurricane #Milton! You are amazing and the Trump Family, and entire state of Florida, appreciates you! Enjoy the rooms – they are the best in Florida! Be safe!" Eric Trump posted on the platform.

Florida’s Voice reported that Republican Governor Ron DeSantis stated on Wednesday that over 50,000 linemen from across the nation—creating the largest staging effort of its kind in U.S. history—are ready to act on Friday once the storm clears the area. Local reports indicated that more than 3.5 million people are without power.

“As soon as that storm passes, you’re going to see the assessments and the power restoration efforts commence immediately,” DeSantis said.

In the meantime, hundreds of linemen stayed at the first-class accommodations of Trump’s Miami golf resort.

According to the resort’s website, “As one of Condé Nast Traveler’s 2024 Readers’ Choice Award winners for Best Resorts in Florida, Trump National Doral Miami continues to set the standard for luxury and excellence."

Rooms at the resort start at $251 per night, with suites priced at $451 and above.

Supporters of Trump were not surprised by this display of his well-known generosity.

On Thursday, DeSantis criticized Vice President Kamala Harris after she accused him of being “selfish” for focusing on the state and its residents as Hurricane Milton approached. Harris also claimed she had attempted to contact DeSantis, but he allegedly ignored her call—an allegation DeSantis denied.

“All she’s trying to do is inject herself into her political campaign. I don’t have time for political games,” DeSantis remarked during a press conference. “I’ve got a job to do, we’ve got people’s lives on the line, and that is our sole focus.”

“If I thought there was anything productive to gain, I’d call her. The truth is, she has no role in this process. She’s not part of the chain of command. I am coordinating with President Biden, FEMA, state and local partners, and we’re getting the job done,” DeSantis continued.

“She has never shown interest in any of the storms we’ve dealt with in Florida during her entire time as Vice President. Now she’s attacking me because I won’t cater to her whims?” he added.
