Trump’s New Press Sec Makes Stunning Announcement on LIVE T.V.

Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, delivered a striking rebuttal to Michael Strahan, host of ABC’s “Good Morning America,” earning widespread recognition.

During an interview, Leavitt took Strahan by surprise when she defended President Donald Trump’s push for federal employees to return to in-person work in Washington, D.C.

Strahan expressed concerns about government-employed scientists and medical professionals potentially resigning rather than complying with a five-day office schedule.

Strahan questioned: “But is there any concern we risk losing people with years of experience like doctors and — and let’s say scientists?”

Leavitt swiftly countered: “Well, most doctors who work in actual hospitals and medical institutions have to show up to the office. We know that employees are more productive and more efficient when they are working in an in-office environment and that’s what this administration expects. And I think that’s what American taxpayers expect. Don’t forget it’s the American people funding this government. They deserve people who are actually showing up to work on their behalf.”

Supporters of Leavitt rallied behind her, dubbing her the “grim reaper” for news hosts like Strahan, a former New York Giants NFL player.

One user on X posted a clip of the exchange, stating, ‘Karoline Leavitt just took another soul on live TV. She’s like the fake news’ grim reaper.’

The interaction quickly went viral across social media, amassing over three million views.

Another social media user, JoeT, praised her response, writing, ‘Stone-cold killer. Will reach legend status.’

At just 27, Leavitt holds the distinction of being the youngest press secretary in U.S. history, rapidly gaining favor with President Trump and his supporters.

During her first White House press briefing on Tuesday, she announced a shift in seating arrangements, granting access to influencers and new media outlets.

“New media” figures and independent journalists celebrated as the White House confirmed on Tuesday that podcasters, social media influencers, and independent reporters would now have seats in the press briefings.

“In keeping with this revolutionary media approach that President Trump deployed during the campaign, the Trump White House will speak to all media outlets and personalities, not just the legacy media who are seated in this room,” said Karoline Leavitt, the newly appointed White House press secretary.

“Millions of Americans, especially young people, have turned from traditional television outlets and newspapers to consume their news from podcasts, blogs, social media and other independent outlets,” Leavitt added.

She further revealed that “new media voices who produce news-related content” would be welcomed into the White House’s James S. Brady Press Briefing Room.

“It’s essential to our team that we share President Trump’s message everywhere and adapt our White House to the new media landscape in 2025,” she emphasized.

Encouraging broader participation, Leavitt posted on X: “If you’re an independent journalist, podcaster, social media influencer, or content creator who meet the criteria — apply to come join us!”

Following the announcement, various content creators expressed enthusiasm about obtaining press credentials or reaffirmed their intention to apply.

Scott Presler, a conservative influencer and activist who played a key role in Trump’s Pennsylvania victory, shared his excitement about applying for briefing credentials.

“If I am chosen for the White House press briefings, I will do my best to sit near Kaitlan Collins. My hair will be done,” Presler joked in an X post.
