Tucker Carlson Dares to Tell the Truth About Abortion - Will Politicians Listen?

Tucker Carlson addressed what many consider the uncomfortable truth about abortion during his speech at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest.

Speaking on Thursday, the conservative commentator openly described abortion as “modern child sacrifice,” cutting through the euphemistic language often used to soften the reality of the practice.

“The truth is, I think every single person in the country knows that abortion is at best a real tragedy, and at worst what is clearly a form of human sacrifice,” Carlson told the crowd in Phoenix, Arizona.

He added, “That’s why they had an abortion van outside the Democratic convention.”

Carlson went on to unequivocally describe the destruction of preborn lives in America, rejecting the narrative that abortion is tied to freedom. Instead, he referred to it as “the opposite of liberation.”

He also took a moment to highlight how anti-natal attitudes within society are eroding the human spirit.

“The only real measure of wealth is children. And anyone who’s against children, making it harder for you to have them, making it easier for you not to have them, is the enemy of you, and of humanity itself,” he said.

Carlson concluded, “I just don’t think in the end that wins. I think everyone secretly knows it, and I think the hysteria and the extremism of the abortion people is testament to that. When you know you’re wrong, you get louder and more hysterical.”

The perspective that abortion constitutes human sacrifice is rarely discussed, even among Republicans. However, framing the issue in such terms is not only bold but also warranted.

Historically, societies performed child sacrifices to deities like Molech or Baal in exchange for prosperity, such as bountiful crops or other material gains.

Today, similar motives drive abortion. Many sacrifice their children for personal ambitions, such as career advancement, the convenience of avoiding parenthood, or the freedom to maintain a sexually promiscuous lifestyle.

This reality underscores that abortion is less of a political issue and more of a spiritual one. Carlson’s acknowledgment of this fact resonates deeply. More individuals, especially Christians who value their preborn neighbors, must confront this truth with courage and clarity.

Viewing abortion as human sacrifice demands a complete reevaluation of how society addresses the issue.

In recent months, the Republican Party has significantly softened its stance on abortion, even removing key pro-life principles from its platform over the summer.

President-elect Donald Trump has pledged not to sign a national abortion ban and has committed to only limited measures against the practice once in office.

Yet, if abortion is indeed human sacrifice, it is not something to negotiate or regulate. It must be opposed entirely and without hesitation, as no compromise can be made with something so morally reprehensible.

Throughout history, nations have faced divine judgment for far less than the mass slaughter of tens of millions of children.

If we truly love our nation and wish to see her greatness restored, we must not settle for half-measures. Abolishing this grave evil is the only moral path forward.
