Video Of Vances Meeting Harris Family Goes Viral

Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff recently hosted a meeting at the White House with Vice President-elect JD Vance and incoming Second Lady Usha Vance ahead of today’s inauguration.

The meeting, however, sparked online discussions. Social media users mocked Harris after her loss in the election, with some commenting on her demeanor.

“You know she’s SUPER bitter about this,” one user remarked.

“You can see the pain in Kamala’s face,” conservative commentator Collin Rugg added.

As she prepares to leave office, Vice President Kamala Harris appears to be maintaining a sense of frustration, which some have described as “bitter and petty,” following her significant loss to President-elect Donald Trump.

According to CBS News, the outgoing vice president has so far avoided extending the customary invitation for Vice President-elect JD Vance and his wife, Usha, to visit the Naval Observatory, the official vice presidential residence. This tradition, typically observed during transitions, has been broken, the outlet reported, citing “multiple Democratic and Republican sources.”

In November, Usha Vance reached out through intermediaries to inquire about childproofing needs for the residence, given that Ewan, Vivek, and Mirabel Vance are all under the age of eight.

Initially, a member of Harris’s political staff declined to address these questions. However, communication was eventually established between the Vance team and Navy personnel responsible for overseeing the residence.

Before the holidays, Navy officials provided the Vance family with a detailed briefing about the residence. This included discussions on the layout, logistics, and other practicalities, as well as answering questions from the Vances, a source familiar with the call stated.

“Usha Vance spoke with Emhoff for about 40 minutes last week, sources said. Harris sources said that arrangements are underway to accommodate the Vance children,” the report noted. “However, Harris insiders also pointed out that she never had an opportunity to visit the residence before taking office in 2021. Her term began during the COVID pandemic and shortly after the Capitol riot, at a time when President Trump refused to concede the election.”

Advisers to former Vice President Mike Pence challenged the claim of no invitation being extended. They contended that Pence quietly invited Harris and Emhoff to visit in the final days of the Trump administration. This invitation, according to CBS, was low-profile due to President Trump’s alleged reluctance to facilitate the transition. However, “no formal sit-down” between Pence and Harris took place.

Harris’s decision not to invite Vance has been defended by her team, citing priorities such as managing the California wildfires and handling a canceled overseas trip.

For context, former Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill invited the Pences to their residence after the 2016 election. Harris herself did not move into the Naval Observatory residence until April 2021, nearly three months after her inauguration, due to necessary renovations.

Last weekend, Harris faced additional criticism over another alleged slight.

Social media and news outlets, including CNN, reacted strongly to a photo Harris posted from former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral. The event featured five current and former presidents—Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Donald Trump—alongside former vice presidents Al Gore and Mike Pence.

Harris’s post notably excluded Trump from the image, which showed the presidents standing with their hands over their hearts. The omission sparked backlash.

“Kamala, you are a petty POS. You cropped out President Trump and his family. All because you were not able to steal another election from him. You will always be known as the DEI pick who slept your way to the top of the illegitimate Biden regime. Signed, The American People,” wrote Derrick Evans, a former West Virginia House member and self-proclaimed Jan. 6 “political prisoner.”

“Trying to erase history once again. Did you know Melania was there on the 1-year anniversary of her own mother’s funeral? Your moral character and that of those surrounding you in the picture is well shown. President Trump and Melania shouldn’t be in the picture with you. Once again a petty tactic backfires. Pure evil is like that,” another critic said.

“Worst VP in history,” another comment read.
