Vivek Ramaswamy Announces His Next Project After Presidential Bid

Vivek Ramaswamy is a businessman, author, and entrepreneur who is about to take on a new role: TV host.

Fox Nation has announced that Ramaswamy, the former Republican presidential candidate and entrepreneur, will host a new five-part documentary series titled Truths with Vivek Ramaswamy. The series will debut on the streaming platform on September 22, with a shorter version set to air on Fox News Channel later that same evening.

The series will explore key issues that Ramaswamy believes conservatives must address to shape the future of the Republican movement. Topics will include American national identity, the conflicts in Ukraine and Israel, campus protests in the U.S., and the influence of religion in modern society. According to Fox Nation, the series reflects Ramaswamy’s vision for a “positive alternative” to left-leaning narratives.

Ahead of the series launch, Fox Nation will release a one-hour special titled Just Ask: Vivek Ramaswamy on September 20. This forum, filmed in Philadelphia, will feature Ramaswamy answering questions from a live audience, with Pete Hegseth, co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend, serving as the moderator.

Lauren Petterson, president of Fox Nation, expressed her enthusiasm for Ramaswamy’s addition to the platform, stating, “We are thrilled to launch this new series, which highlights Mr. Ramaswamy’s thoughtful and distinctive perspective on the state of American politics after his rapid rise over the past year.”

Ramaswamy, who gained national prominence during the 2024 Republican primary, has made a name for himself as a critic of what he calls “woke” ideology and globalism. He explained that the new series seeks to encourage conservatives to define their vision for the future, rather than just opposing left-wing ideas.

“Today, conservatives know what we’re against,” Ramaswamy noted. “But what exactly do we stand for? To answer that question, we need to engage with all Americans, not just those who share our views. That’s the focus of my new book, TRUTHS: The Future of America-First, and I had a great time partnering with FOX Nation to host these engaging dinner table discussions that are sorely needed in our country.”

In Truths, Ramaswamy will be joined by various guests, including his wife Apoorva Ramaswamy, journalist Matt Taibbi, physicist Steven Koonin, and others, for roundtable discussions intended to resonate with viewers across the political spectrum.

Ramaswamy, known for founding companies like Roivant Sciences and Strive Asset Management, is also an accomplished author. His books include Woke, Inc. (2021) and Nation of Victims (2022). His forthcoming book, Truths: The Future of America-First, is set to be released in 2024 to coincide with the series.

In January, Ramaswamy suspended his 2024 presidential campaign and endorsed former President Donald Trump following the Iowa caucuses.

Ramaswamy, who entered the 2024 race without prior political experience, gained national recognition and experienced a brief surge in the polls by promoting popular ideas and consistently praising Trump.

“We didn’t achieve the surprise victory we aimed for,” Ramaswamy said at the time. “As of tonight, we are suspending this presidential campaign. Earlier, I called Donald Trump to congratulate him on his victory. Going forward, he has my full endorsement for the presidency.”

In the Iowa caucuses, Ramaswamy garnered around 8% of the vote, trailing behind Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, who finished second and third with approximately 20% of the vote. Trump, meanwhile, set a record by securing over 50% of the vote.

Ramaswamy, who started the race with almost no name recognition when he announced his candidacy in February of last year, managed to outperform several well-known Republicans, including former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, and former Vice President Mike Pence.
