Watch: Jennifer Aniston Has Opened Up on Barack Obama Cheating Rumor

The long-circulating rumor that Barack Obama had a romantic relationship with actress Jennifer Aniston has resurfaced, fueled by speculation that the former president's marriage is on the rocks.

During an October 2024 interview with left-leaning comedian Jimmy Kimmel, Aniston firmly dismissed the claim, emphasizing that she has only encountered Obama once.

Kimmel brought up the gossip by displaying a copy of InTouch magazine, which featured the headline, “The Truth About Jen and Barack!”

“Of all the calls you get from your publicist, where you’re just like, ‘Oh no, what’s it going to be?’ … and then it’s that? I was not mad at it,” Aniston remarked.

Kimmel then asked, “Does your publicist ever go, ‘Is there any truth to this?’”

“No, that is absolutely untrue,” Aniston responded. “There is no truth.”

She further clarified that while she has met Obama once, she is more familiar with former First Lady Michelle Obama, stating she knows Michelle “more than him.”

This rumor first appeared in January 2014 when The Economist published a satirical article suggesting that Obama had relationships with several high-profile women, The Daily Beast reported.

The piece humorously mentioned Obama’s alleged affairs with not only Aniston but also former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and journalist Katie Couric.

Despite its comedic intent, the claim resurfaced in August 2024 when InTouch revisited the supposed connection between Obama and Aniston.

According to The Beast, InTouch relied on the celebrity gossip podcast “Who? Weekly” as its source.

During an episode, host Lindsey Weber reportedly stated, “The goss is … Michelle and Barack are living separate lives, and Barack is f**ing Jennifer Aniston.”*

Weber also acknowledged that while the rumor was sourced from “reliable sources,” it “obviously could be made up.”

Speculation about a potential split between the Obamas intensified after Michelle Obama was noticeably absent from both the late President Jimmy Carter’s funeral and President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Adding to the speculation, the late Sen. John McCain’s daughter, Meghan McCain, addressed the divorce rumors on her Citizen McCain podcast on Jan. 22.

“I have been hearing this rumor that the Obamas are getting a divorce by reputable people,” McCain said.

“I’m not talking about TMZ. I’m not talking about Perez Hilton, although I love him, he’s my friend,” she added.

“I’m talking about like very serious journalists telling me that they’re hearing that the Obama divorce rumors are true.”

Her guest, political journalist Tara Palmeri, echoed the sentiment, stating, “We’ve heard that for a long time. Like I just heard that they live separate lives.”
