Watch: Trump Declines Fox News Moderators for Second Debate During Live Interview

On Wednesday, former President Donald Trump appeared to turn down a Fox News proposal for a second debate moderated by two of its anchors.

During an interview on “Fox & Friends,” Steve Doocy suggested the idea of a debate moderated by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, as shown in a video shared on X.

“Well, I wouldn’t want to have Martha and Bret; I’d prefer someone else other than Martha and Bret,” Trump responded.

“I’d rather have, honestly, Sean [Hannity] or Jesse [Watters] or Laura [Ingraham], you know, someone else. Let’s give other people a chance. But I didn’t think Martha and Bret did a good job last night,” Trump added.

“I thought Jesse was outstanding last night. What he said, Jesse really nailed it. Jesse said, ‘Trump won that debate.’ We won that debate by a wide margin. And I wouldn’t want Martha involved,” he continued.

Later in the interview, Trump indicated that a second debate was unlikely.

“When two fighters go at it and one loses, the first thing they want is another fight. In this case, a debate,” Trump explained.

“The losing fighter, the debater — they’re always the ones asking for a rematch,” he said.

Trump also mentioned he was leaning away from participating in another debate.

“I’d be less likely to because we had an amazing night. We won the debate. The network was terrible,” he remarked.

Trump also stated that he is battling a biased media narrative that distorts the truth about the debate.

“People are just now starting to give me credit for having a GREAT DEBATE. The Voters and Voter Polls showed it, but the Fake News Media wasn’t giving the credit that was due. Now they are seeing the results with independent Voters, Evangelicals, and more – and saying, WOW!“ Trump posted on Truth Social.

“Remember, I wasn’t just debating one person, I was up against three. They should fire everyone at ABC Fake News, whose two lightweight ‘anchors’ have embarrassed the company!” Trump posted.
