Watch: Trump Reveals the 1 Thing He Admires About Biden and It's a Doozy

Former President Donald Trump commented that while President Joe Biden was a “disaster” as a global leader, there was one particular trait Biden had that Trump found both curious and somewhat enviable — his uncanny ability to fall asleep almost instantly, no matter the situation.

“The only thing I totally admired about Sleepy Joe Biden is the following: He’d go to a beach, he’d lay down on a cot — barely able to get his feet through the sand — he’d lay down and within minutes, he’s sleeping and you have cameras watching him,” Trump remarked in an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, which aired on Thursday.

Trump, delivering this peculiar compliment, emphasized, “I could never do that. I would never be able to sleep like that. That’s about the only thing that I think that was wonderful [about Biden].”

Beyond that, Trump declared, “This man was a disaster.”

Trump found it surprising how often Biden was captured on camera dozing off while serving as president, particularly at the beach.

In the world of politics — as in other spheres — appearances matter. For a leader frequently criticized over concerns about mental acuity, being photographed napping while major crises unfold is not the most reassuring image to project.

Nevertheless, Biden was repeatedly caught snoozing — not just at the beach, but at other high-profile domestic and international events.

As for Trump, he previously disclosed during his 2016 campaign that he typically functions on just four to five hours of sleep per night. Apparently, not much has changed since then.

“I don’t sleep much,” Trump shared with Fox News this week. “A lot of people that love what they’re doing don’t sleep much, I find. And so far, it’s been OK.”

While experts generally recommend seven to eight hours of sleep per night for optimal health, some studies have shown that a small fraction of the population, often referred to as “short sleepers,” naturally require less rest.

According to The Wall Street Journal, these individuals, sometimes known as the “sleepless elite,” have a unique combination of being both night owls and early risers.

This rare trait is often hereditary and typically appears in childhood, the Journal reported.

Research on “short sleepers” has found that they tend to be highly driven and exhibit traits such as:

  • Ambition.
  • Optimism.
  • Outgoing personalities.
  • High energy.

Although it’s uncertain whether Trump fits the biological definition of a “short sleeper,” he certainly exemplifies all of these characteristics — and in abundance.
