White House Releases Statement After Bruise Spotted On Trump

This week, President Donald Trump was seen with a noticeable bruise on the outer side of his right hand, sparking a flurry of speculation from left-wing media figures and commentators, who have pushed conspiracy theories suggesting a health cover-up.

The White House attributed the bruise to Trump’s frequent handshaking throughout the day. However, that explanation did not satisfy many online users who debated the issue across social media platforms.

“The White House just said the mysterious makeup-covered bruise on Trump’s right hand is because he is ‘shaking hands all day every day.’ Trump has still refused to release his full medical report,” posted left-wing podcaster Bryan Tyler Cohen on X.

Left-leaning podcaster and comedian Gabe Sanchez also weighed in, stating, “Whoa, this looks exactly like the bruises Trump had before on his right hand. According to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, “President Trump is a man of the people,” as quoted by NBC News. She emphasized, “His commitment is unwavering, and he proves that every single day.”

Leavitt also reiterated in a follow-up statement, “President Trump has bruises on his hand because he’s constantly working and shaking hands all day every day.”

In 2024, various media sources documented similar bruising on the back of Trump’s right hand. When questioned about it, Trump was quoted by Time magazine in a December 2024 article saying, “It’s from shaking hands with thousands of people.”

Accounts from the campaign trail last year corroborated the White House’s stance on the president’s hand bruising.

A report from The Hill detailed, “Donald Trump’s hands have gotten roughed up by enthusiastic fans, at times creating bruises, with the former president acknowledging he has had to get over being a germaphobe.”

During an interview with the Washington Examiner’s Byron York, Trump was observed engaging with supporters following a speech. As he exited the venue, “Trump walked along a rope line on his way out of the room. He shook hand after hand, but rather than a simple handshake, some excited admirers would grasp his hand so heartily, and squeeze so hard, that Trump had to pull back to move on to the next person. Near the end of the line, one woman seized Trump’s hand so vigorously that a Secret Service agent had to deliver a sort of mini karate chop — nothing violent, just a firm tap — to break up the one-sided embrace.”

York also questioned Trump about his handshaking habits and his previously acknowledged germaphobia.

“‘In this business, you just have to get over it,’ he said. He held out his right hand and showed that the back was covered by a large, greenish bruise. There were also marks left by female admirers with carefully manicured nails. It happened all the time, he said,” the report highlighted.

Meanwhile, left-wing media figures and journalists largely ignored former President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, which, as earlier reports from this year indicated, actually began even before he assumed office in January 2021.
