White House Under Siege - Secret Service Forced To Retract

On Saturday afternoon, a large group of pro-Palestine demonstrators gathered around the White House, setting off smoke bombs and flares.

Chanting “ceasefire now,” a slogan popular since the October 7 bombings, protesters accused the Biden Administration of being complicit in genocide. Since the attacks, protesters have breached the outer gates of the White House compound several times, resulting in clashes with law enforcement.

Footage from Saturday's demonstrations, captured by on-the-ground reporter Oliya Scootercaster, shows a large group of protesters draped in Palestinian flags assembled outside the main White House entrance. The protesters ignited flares and smoke bombs, prompting an immediate response from D.C. Park Police and Secret Service agents.

According to a follow-up post by Scootercaster, the White House is now “completely surrounded” by demonstrators holding a large red banner representing their “red line.” Loud applause erupted when both sides of the banner connected at the southwest corner of the White House compound.

Most of the protesters, wearing red shirts, chanted “hold the red line” and “free, free Palestine.”

One protester carried a banner reading, “You better run, we got the guillotine.”

Reporter Ford Fischer’s video from the scene shows D.C. Metro Police dispersing the demonstrators at Penn Avenue, just in front of Freedom Plaza, where the annual D.C. Pride March is set to conclude in a few hours.

Another video posted by reporter Julio Rosas of Blaze Media captured the moment when a crowd of demonstrators drove Park Police and Secret Service agents from Lafayette Square after an alleged attempt to make an arrest.

As police retreated, the crowd shouted, “f**k the police.” When police attempted to prevent graffiti on sculptures, several protesters hurled rocks and other objects at them.

Rosas noted that neither the park nor the protest's perimeter is currently occupied by police.

Due to the Democratic Party’s support of Israel and its military actions in the Gaza Strip, President Biden and his Democratic allies have faced strong opposition from pro-Palestine demonstrators.

Numerous protest ballots have been cast in several primary states, including Minnesota, New Jersey, Michigan, and others, in response to Biden’s stance on Israel.

Many progressive voters have vowed not to support Biden in November, with some backing “uncommitted” campaigns or write-in candidates.
